AI Hackathon for People with Disabilities 2026

A pioneering national initiative that combines technical innovation and social empowerment to design AI and robotics-based solutions for people with disabilities. This hackathon brings together creative minds and advanced technologies to create real change in the lives of people with disabilities. Through harnessing the power of AI and robotics, it aims to build a more inclusive future where technology becomes a bridge to opportunities rather than a barrier. The hackathon features four main tracks: Daily Life and Assistive Technologies, Health and Rehabilitation, Education and Knowledge Access, and Hajj and Umrah Services. It targets both individuals (students, engineers, developers, healthcare professionals) and organizations (startups, tech companies, entrepreneurs). The total prize pool is 220,000 Saudi Riyals distributed across individual and organizational categories, with an additional special prize for winners with disabilities. Evaluation criteria include impact (30%), innovation and creativity (25%), feasibility and suitability (20%), sustainability and scalability (10%), prototype quality and presentation (10%), and safety and reliability (5%).
